The Mission Greenbelt project is a proposed urban earth artwork made of continuous native plant sidewalk gardens connecting Franklin Square Park to Dolores Park. This work will require community engagement, partnerships with city agencies and local organizations as well as outreach and education about natural habitats and the ecological benefits of native plants.
In October, I received support from the San Francisco Arts Commission Gallery to transform their Gallery
space into Mission Greenbelt Public Awareness Campaign Headquarters. Until December 22nd 2007, the Gallery will be full of artwork related to the Mission Greenbelt, and is also an active Campaign Headquarters for public meetings, events and workshops.
