Dear Audience and HH,

 Over this coming weekend The Counter Narrative Society will be posting its full program of events for the month of September happening at its temporary conference room in Hidden Histories. This will include a series of creative conversations-meetings that will engage the public in different ways of recollecting oral history. The program will be named “Thinking of You: Mission and Valencia” and investigates the local memory of the Inner Mission in the face of rapid social and urban changes.

During the month of September as a starting point of our research project “Thinking of You: Mission and Valencia” that investigates the local memory of the Inner Mission in the face of rapid social and urban changes, The Counter Narrative Society invites local residents who live, play, work and shop on Mission and Valencia Streets to participate in a series of creative conversations/workshops to recall past, present and future memories. These conversations will be happening in our conference room at HYPERSEA's Hidden Histories headquarters and on the streets.

a [Creative Conversation] of Thinking of You: Mission and Valencia by The Counter Narrative Society


• September 14 / Fri. 4-8pm &  Sept. 15 / Sat. 12-6pm

The Counter Narrative Society (TCNS) invites anyone who live, play, work or shop on Mission and Valencia Streets to participate in our second creative conversation piece happening in our conference room/installation at the Hidden Histories headquarters exhibition. For this conversation, everyone is invited to bring photographs and drawings to create scrapbook pages to memorialize past and present features of Mission and Valencia Street. We also welcome ornaments. (A scanner and printer will be available on site to make photocopies of originals.)
